THE CHEMCLEAR PROGRAM  

ChemClear provides a reliable and responsible collection and disposal service for users of agricultural and veterinary chemicals.  These people may include 

• primary producers
• agricultural and veterinary businesses
• the ag retail industry
• pest control managers
• forestry
• local and state governement agencies
• golf courses
• any other users of agricultural and veterinary chemical users

“ChemClear's goal is to reduce the quantity of obsolete chemicals stored on properties and in businesses across Australia.  Utilising our program ensures that agvet chemical users are meeting their responsibilities under any Quality Assurance and Best Managment programs they have in place" said Lisa Nixon, National Program Manager.

Croplife Australia Ltd, Animal Health Alliance, Veterinary Manufacturers Distributors Association (VMDA), the National Farmers Federation (NFF), and the Local Government Association together with Agsafe Ltd have implemented the ChemClear program for the safe management and destruction of unwanted agvet chemicals.

ChemClear is an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program and an Industry Stewardship initiative of the Industry Waste Reduction Scheme.
